Built by a game dev, for game devs

GamePromptKit exists because every AI prompt library we tried was built for content marketers — not people trying to ship a game.

When AI tools started becoming genuinely useful for game development, we started building a personal collection of prompts — one for generating sprite descriptions, one for writing Steam store copy, one for designing enemy AI behavior patterns.

Over time that collection grew to hundreds of prompts, each refined through actual use on real projects. We weren't just looking for "write me a character" — we needed prompts that understood game development workflows, that knew what a sprite sheet was, that could describe an AI behavior state machine.

Generic prompt libraries don't have that. They're full of "write a product description" and "summarize this document." GamePromptKit is different: every single prompt is built for the specific things indie game developers actually do.

Specific over generic

A prompt for "2D platformer character sprite sheet" beats a generic "create an image" prompt every time. Specificity is the product.

Immediately useful

Every prompt produces output you can use today — not text you need to re-prompt three times to make work.

Indie-first

Solo devs and small studios have different needs than AAA studios. We build for the solo dev shipping their dream game.
